Muslims around the world have two Eids which marks two occasions as indicated in Islamic calendar. The Eidul-ul-Fitri marks the end of the Holly month of Ramadan in which Muslims fast during the whole month. While Eidul-Adha marks the end of the Hajj. During the Eidul-Fitri, Muslims welcomes with festive including food and new clothing.
During the Eid day, both Children and adults wear new clothes to celebrate the occasion of the day. They share so much joy and happiness. Unfortunately, there is so many kids whose parents could not able to buy new clothes.
For the third year running, SOYVDA had successfully implemented the CIIDSII project. The project was two days event which was benefited more than six hundred kids at the IDPS. Before the Eid gift distribution, a group of volunteers was sent to undertake a survey to the neediest ones. Then followed by the official registration where the registered kids were given their Eid Gifts.
During the Eid day, we spent a wonderful time together. We gave them Eid snacks and balloons to celebrate the Eid. The main aim of the Eid program was to put a smile on the faces of hundreds of children who were not able to have the clothes for Eid. Finally, SOYVDA had able to give these children the opportunity to celebrate the Eid with the other fortunate children of their ages.
