For the third year running, SOYVDA had successfully implemented Afuri (Iftar) project 1440/2019. Since SOYVDA organized its first ever Iftar project back in 2017, the number of beneficiaries were increasing year by year. For example, our first Iftar project was benefited 320 families, then followed by 400 families in 2018 and 500 families in 2019.
This year’s Ramadan begun Sunday, May 5 2019 and ended Monday June 3, 2019, During the Holly Month of Ramadan, SOYVDA managed to provide Iftar meals to approximately around five hundred families at the IDPs. This has continued until at the end of the Holly month of Ramadan, where SOYVDA make it easier for 500 families to have decent meals at that end of their fast during the month of Ramadan.
The main aim of the Iftar program was to provide Iftar meals for the less fortunate who were not able to afford their iftar meals. In addition to share joy and happiness to the deprived and underprivileged people in our community. SOYVDA is aimed to tackle the illiteracy, poverty and the humanitarian crisis including droughts and disaster prevention and also develops community basic social Services to contribute National Development Goals.
